This week we revealed the long lists for the Dezeen Awards 2022

This week on Dezeen, we revealed the long lists across all categories of the Dezeen Awards 2022, featuring the best studios and projects around the world.

This week, the long list of architecture was revealed on Monday, followed by the long list of interiors on Tuesday. The projects competing for the design prize were unveiled on Wednesday and the shortlisted sustainability and media projects on Thursday.

Yesterday we released the final long list of studios competing to be named the best in the world.

All projects and studios shortlisted for this year’s Dezeen Awards were chosen from over 5,400 entries from 90 countries.

Dezeen Awards judges will now determine which projects make the shortlists, which will be announced in September before the big winners are revealed in November.

Neom’s executive director of urban planning, Tarek Qaddumi, spoke to Dezeen this week about The Line mirror megacity project, which will be 170 kilometers long and built in the Saudi desert.

“It will ultimately demonstrate that the world has the human capacity, the technology and the commitment to revolutionize the way we live today,” he told Dezeen.
